Had the hps pads previously but man they squealed thus the reason for switching to ceramic. Also while you're there might consider getting the ss brake lines. My guess is the HPS will bite better than the ceramics and have a higher operating temp- at the cost of dust/noise/rotor wear. I went that route b/c of the massive dust reduction over stock. I've read excellent things about the HPS 5.0 as well. It sounds like the Hawks are superior over the Akebonos in almost every way other than the dusting issue.
